Current State of the Prototype!


Just an update on what the game has so far,

that's kinda cool and working at least. 

Currently everything is very barebones because I'm focusing on getting basic systems for everything built then coming around later to build on them again.

In between making the individual traps like the falling bookcase, falling blade, and various spike trap variations I've made a rough dialogue system that will be used mainly in the intro/tutorial sections. You can also see the healthbar system I have been working on in the bottom left too. That will be important for testing the traps.

I've also built a small transition animation to show how the player gets to the hospital. This was surprisingly simple to set up with Godot 4's animator. I'll probably show it off better when I finish the introduction and dialogue. 

In the future, I'm planning on flushing out the dialogue panels with an appropriate portrait and design as well as finishing up the last trap I have planned. This trap is the rolling spike trap and you can see it partially working on the bottom of the trap gif. I just need to set up to roll up and roll to the left.
